Tom Podl's collection is the most extensive private collection of Polish art in America . It contains works beginning in the late 19th century with a concentration on paintings from the School of Paris period of the early 20th century prior to WWII. Part of the collection was featured in an acclaimed major exhibition tour in Poland in 2001-2003 in eight cities (including the National Museum in Kraków and the Zacheta Museum in Warsaw) .
The exhibit features 157 Polish artworks and includes works by artists such as Józef Pankiewicz, Wladyslaw Slewinski, Józef Czapski, Mojzesz Kisling, Tadeusz Makowski, Olga Boznanska and Eugeniusz Zak, in addition to expressionistic paintings by Mela Muter and contemporaty paintings by Jan Lebenstein.
